So last night the temperature decided to dip to a blistery 25 degrees Fahrenheit (that is -4 Celsius). At the same time, the heater decided to stop working! Not a very good combination of events! We have extended warranty on our house, which I recommend everyone should do, so we put in a service request last night, and this morning by 10 the technician was here and found a broken ignitor that he fixed; took him about half an hour. The best thing about the home warranty deal, is that no matter what the cost is to fix something broken, you pay $55 and that's it. Even if the cost is $1000, you just pay$55. Cool, huh?
Anyway, last night got really cold, but luckily we have an electric radiator heater that we use in Jacob's room, so he was ok, didn't feel a thing. As for us, we hunkered down and got extra blankets and made it through the night. This morning was really cold inside the house, but Julie put Jacob on her and they both slept on the couch watching Elmo. Then I got the radiator heater downstairs and it warmed up the area ok, nothing like the central heating furnace, though! We are basking in some 70 degree (21 Celsius) weather inside the house right now, and thank God that the guy came so quickly and fixed the problem right away.
